Plan Around Doors, Paths and Daily Access
A scaffold can be structurally suitable and still make life unnecessarily awkward if the household layout has not been discussed. Front entrances, side gates and commonly used paths should be identified early. So should oil tanks, drains, low roofs, garden walls and surfaces that may not be suitable as simple support positions.
There may be practical choices to make. A car might need to move before erection. A side entrance could require a different bay arrangement. Materials stored beside the wall may have to be cleared so the scaffold team can reach the intended base positions.
Pointing these things out at quotation stage is useful. It gives everyone time to agree what remains accessible and what has to change temporarily.

Keep Changes With the Scaffolding Team
Building work can uncover surprises. A roofer may find that another section needs attention, or a painter may ask for access beyond the original elevation. Those requests should be sent back to the scaffolding provider.
Moving boards, removing ties or adapting the structure without authorisation can change how it performs. The scaffold should stay in its agreed arrangement unless competent scaffolders make and record the required alteration.
The household should also keep the area around the base reasonably clear. Children should not climb on the structure, and gates or access controls provided for the site should be used as intended.
